Project Description

Domino Communications System

When coordinated communications and teamwork are essential, the Domino Digital Communicator is the clear choice —Exclusively from V3 Integrators

The easy to use Domino is about the size of a… domino and weighs just 1.5 oz. making it comfortable to wear on a lanyard – all shift. The Domino uses the robust and proven 900 MHz frequency band and each Domino is also a repeater, so the network grows as Dominos are added. With integration tools from V3i, the Domino can be added to your existing RTS matrix system or used in a stand-alone mode if connectivity to the matrix is lost. Featuring Tri-Full Duplex, up to three Dominos can communicate in full duplex, hands-free mode while other Dominos utilize push-to-talk, PTT. Best of all, no FCC license required (ISM license-free band).

When fast, accurate, and coordinated communications and teamwork are essential, the Domino is the communicator of choice.

Features of the Domino S1 Communicator

  • 900 Mhz ISM License-Free Band – Full digital encryption
  • Frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) – efficient bandwidth use and resistant to interference
  • Half-Duplex (PTT) – Full Duplex (3 Dominos) – 2 sound quality settings
  • Battery life up to 7 days
  • Very small and lightweight
  • Can be integrated into existing or new intercom systems
  • Many headset solutions available

How does Domino work

  • Domino can be used as a stand-alone communications system with or without repeaters i.e. Domino(s) talking to Domino(s)
  • Domino can be integrated into an existing intercom system
  • Recent testing at a 4 loop PWR resulted in the following
    • 1 repeater on RFF
    • Full coverage of entire containment with exception of loop rooms

Does Domino replace existing radios or wireless intercoms

  • It can – more likely, it will be used in conjunction with other wireless communications types
  • Domino can directly replace walkie-talkie trunked radio systems if a smaller, longer battery life solution is desired
